Thanks for the video! Is there a way to check if my angles are 90 degrees on different parts of the pattern? I can’t seem to find that on PAD.

Hello. Ive followed this but im getting lost at the first front armhole curve....when you say divide armhole length by 8 then add 1/2 inch, you get approx 2.8 inches, which i guess you go out from top centre shoulder point? Then you use the same formula (ah/8) except its now minus 1/2 inch and you get approx 1.8inches but where do you start this from, at the front edge biscep line and move inwards, yes? Ie. Go in 2.8 invhes from edge? So i did this. Next, when I form the curves, you say "check this point" and appear to show top curve centered and bottom curve centered. Mine are not centered at all and my measurements are almost identical to yours (9 and 9.25" front and back armhole lengths). I am lost at this point as i ...a) ...dont know where you started for your biscep point and b) ...i dont understand how you "checked this point". I wonder if you could clarify this? Even in the pattern book (winnifred aldrich) i have, i can follow everything except when it comes tovtye sleeve pattern. It starts at a point "1" but it never explained how to calculate where "1" actually is. Thank you I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts. 🙏

So hem u took 8 ie 16 inches but after making the pattern and adding seam allowance i got ready pant measurement 17 of hem. ?

Thank you for the explanation. I was wondering how you would grade a back yoke if these jeans had one? Would you add the 1/4" in the rise and width of the yoke, or would you add it to the back pant pattern, onto the seam where it joins to the yoke pattern. I am grading a pair of jeans with a back yoke and was wondering how to go about it. Thanks!

Jin I have always calculated armhole depth from chest measurement and it always worked! The other formula is based not only on chest measurements but also on height too.

I have a jeans pattern that I have already fitted to my body. I'm curious what modifications I would make to create this leg shape. Do I just need to make the outseam curved and add the knee darts?
